Books

I love to read. It’s been one of my favourite things to do since I was…. Well, able to read.

Which apparently occurred when I was quite young.

I remember when I was little, my mother commenting on my ability to read novels from such a young age.

And I would spend all day reading if I could.

I often did.

I remember being in grade school, my father taking me to a classic book store ~ it was so inspirational to me, more amazing than a toy store or a carnival.

I miss that.

I remember sharing the love of Stephen King novels with my step-dad from the time I was 12 years old.

He’d read a novel and then hand it over to me. I’d read it, then we’d have our own little book club chat & debate.

I also miss that.

They say as a writer, if you are not inspired to write, then read.

I just finished a novel today & am browsing my book stack to decide which one is next.

I have my own little book stack of unread words, just sitting here waiting for my attention.

That’s my kinda Saturday night.
