Anyone else a fan of the Food Box? I’ve tried them all. I cycle through them. I chose one for the week that has the most appealing options and skip the others.
If your home is anything like mine, dinner falls on my shoulders. Which is ok, my husband is a terrible cook. And he’s well aware of that fact.
But in the past, this “duty of mine“ has caused some resentment. Especially when I’d be working a 12 hour shift and he’d text me at work “What’s for dinner tonight?”. #MINDBLOWN and #WTF - I know I played the mom in the commercials where those words were the theme song but come on! Make a decision! You’re the one at home!?!?!? You’ve had all day to figure that out and you’re texting me in the last hour of my shift when I’m starving from having had zero time to eat a decent meal and expecting me to figure that out?!
Thankfully with the help of the Food Box we’ve moved beyond that. So with all irritation and resentment aside, the Food Box, any of them, are a saving grace for our home. Most have great ingredients, simple (mostly) instructions and a great variety. The best feature for me, is that I am not the only one doing all of the work. Don’t get me wrong, I love to cook. I love trying new recipes and creating my own, but sometimes, I just don’t want it to be my decision. Sometimes I just don’t want to be the one standing in front of the stove.
SO tonight, I’m not.
Cheers to Saturday Night!
